Sedgefield 75 swimming club have had another successful weekend at the Richmond Dale Summer Madness Gala, held at Leeds, in a 50 metre pool.

14 swimmers from the club made the journey to Leeds and competed in 65 races, bringing home 32 medals and 15 personal best times.

James Hodgson swam 6 races, attaining 2 PB’s, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Niall Coulthard swam 7 races, achieving 1 PB, 1 gold and 2 silver medals.

Emma Price swam 10 races, bringing home 2 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze and a 5th and 6th medal.

Ethan Craig swam 5 races, attaining a 5th and 6th medal.

Aaron Stephenson swam in 2 races and achieved 2 amazing personal best times in both events.

Charlie McEwan swam 4 races, attaining 1 PB, 1 bronze and a 5th place medal.

Robert Price had 3 races and achieved fantastic personal best times in all his events.

Oliver Turnbull swam 3 races, attaining 2 PB’s and 2x6th place medals.

Zoe Hodgson had 4 excellent swims and was awarded a new racing costume from her family.

Chloe Harding swam 5 races, attaining 1 PB and a 5th place medal.

Katelyn Craig had 5 races, attaining 2 PB’s, 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Leah Smith swam 4 races, attaining 4 gold medals.

Charlotte Lee had 3 races, achieving 1 PB and a 6th place medal.

Kathryn Lee had 4 excellent swims and was a credit to the club by helping the younger swimmers throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the day was the 8 person mixed team cannon relay race. Emma, Ethan, Chloe, Oliver, Kathryn, James, Katelyn and Niall all made their club proud, placing in bronze medal position at the end of the gala.
