Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club held its annual charity golf day on Friday 15th September at Woodham Golf and Country club. This year saw a record attendance with 29 four person teams registered.
The event was won by a team from Close Thornton Solicitors of Darlington represented by Rtn David Hogg, Patrick Saunders, Ian Cowie and Steve McGee pictured above after receiving the David Thompson Memorial Trophy from President Tony Robinson.
The event raised over £5000 which will be distributed between Marie Curie Cancer Care, Prostate Cancer Research and Rotary Charities.
Joint organisers Hon Rtn Robert Manners and President Tony Robinson both paid thanks to Hall Construction Ltd and Husqvarna for sponsorship, Barclaycard for funding support and everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.
They also paid tribute to Woodham Golf and Country Club for the superb condition of the course and the excellent catering.
