Cystic Fibrosis sufferer Hollie Williams with family and friends raised £154.00 on a cake stall and raffle at Tesco last Saturday. Parents Mike and Angie bought all the prizes themselves as a fundraising effort to provide children in the ward with various games to keep them occupied while having treatment or operations. They could not stay to raise more money as Hollie felt unwell. “I wish to thank Tesco for all their support and say that Angela, Shirley and Joe are a big credit to the town’s Supermarket. A lady aged 91 and Norma Norton made a donation and I thank them and those customers who supported our stall” said Angie. Many people don’t understand cystic fibrosis and how many people suffer from this horrible genetic disease. People do die and like Cancer the hope is  for a cure one day. Public support in fundraising is so important for research into the condition as many brave children like 12 year old Hollie are fighting a long battle. The Hospital Ward needs comfortable leather chairs, TV’s. X-boxes and indoor games and if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. At the moment the children just sit there bored and feeling miserable. if you can help please contact Angie on telephone 01325 495991 or 07501 464949
