The name “FRIENDS OF SENIOR CITIZENS” ceased to be used when new trustees took over Neville Parade Community Centre.

Dorothy Bowman and her helpers wish to revive the old name and start a completely new group for lonely and isolated people. They offer help, advice, activities and outings to places of interest, theatres and much more.

If you are on your own or have a husband/partner and would like to meet people, the F.O.S.C group would like to invite you to morning coffee and a cooked lunch every Tuesday 10.00am until 12.45 am at The Western Area Community Centre, Silverdale Place.

If you have no transport we can pick you up. We are also offering two further days Monday and Friday at a different venue which will be available possibly from 4th December.

We welcome single people, husband and wives/partners and those who are recovering from long term illnesses ie: cancer, MS, bereavement or just people who need to be out and about but have nowhere to go.

We will also be able to offer some help with problems by pointing you to people who could assist.

Please ring me if you are interested in joining this new group.

Dorothy Bowman.
