Rose Lodge Care Home, Carers Way, have appointed Nicola Wheatley as the new Care Manager.
Far from a new addition to the team, Nicola will have worked at Rose Lodge for seven years in January having initially started as a part time Care Assistant before being promoted to Senior Carer and then Deputy Manager before taking over the Care Manager role.
Nicola has over 15 years experience in the Care Sector and has lived in Aycliffe for 20 years after moving to the area at the age of 13. She will oversee the running of the 54-bed care home which specialises in residential and dementia care.
Nicola said: “I am delighted to be taking over the Care Managers role. Rose Lodge is like a second home to me and I am looking forward to continuing to build on its excellent reputation for providing high quality care and building strong relationships with our local community. ”
Upcoming plans for the home includes refurbishment work in the main lounge, a new beauty room and newly refurbished coffee shop.
Rose Lodge Care Home is owned by Countrywide Care Homes, part of the Maria Mallaband Care Group, which recently was awarded Global Care Home Operator of the Year at the 2013 UK Over 50’s Housing Awards.
