A Newton Aycliffe Care home is opening its doors to the community on 16th June to celebrate the National Care Home Open Day event. The idea is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and work together to develop better relationships.  This important connection is something that St. Clare’s Court, on Central Avenue, has nurtured since opening in October and the home is already acting as a community hub, including Coffee Mornings and Dementia Cafes.  As part of the Care Home Open Day, St. Clare’s Court is hosting an afternoon of fun, entertainment and refreshments for the community.
Jason Parkinson, Manager at the home, said: “This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at St. Clare’s Court.  The team at St. Clare’s Court are really looking forward to meeting you and building on our community relationship”
