METIS is a local 5 piece band, bringing you classics from brit pop, indie and rock bands up to recent tracks as well as their own originals! This will be their first gig of the year. Who’s going to join them on Saturday 18th march? They are live at the Scouts Centre in Newton Aycliffe. Tickets are just £3 each (£2 for children) available from METIS, the club or on the door on the night. They are limited so don’t delay! They’ve been working so hard these past two months perfecting their set list and working on some awesome originals to perform to you on the night. The Scout centre is also hosting a Northern Soul Night on Saturday the 15th of April at 7:30pm.
Tickets are £3 and will be available on the door. We treat our floor with ‘Sliperine’ to give you a good dancing surface so we would appreciate it if you could not use talc – it’s a nightmare to clean of! Northern Soul will be a regular event at the Scout Centre dates will be published on our Facebook page shortly. Our AGM will be on Wednesday 19th April at 7:00pm all current members are welcome. If anyone would like to join the committee to help run the Association please see the notice board at our Social club – names and nominees required. Please note that this is a demanding role and you will be expected to partake in the everyday running of the club- everything from un-blocking the toilet to organising an event and everything in between. We hope to see you at our events. All the profits are used to run and maintain the Scout centre which is used by up to 100 young people each week for their scouting/brownie meetings.
