Residents, their families and the local community were joined by district nurses and the Mayor of Newton Aycliffe to celebrate the recent ‘Good’ CQC report at Defoe Court Care Home.

To mark the occasion, attendees were treated to high tea, an Elvis tribute act, and caricatures by the talented Paul Slattery. The team at Defoe Court was delighted to receive an impressive CQC report that rated the home as “Good” overall, with a highly-coveted “Outstanding” rating in the Care category. The report demonstrates the home is providing high standards of care for Residents.

Defoe Court is also celebrating achieving a 9.8 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website carehome.co.uk, and was recently ranked in the Top 20 care homes in the North East for 2017.
