Dear Sir, It amazes me that Livin create a song and dance about untidy gardens of property that they own, yet don’t keep their open spaces tidy by keeping the grass cut, and have even stopped cutting pensioners lawns to save money. How many complaints does it take to get them to do a simple job of cutting the grass? Over the past 12 months myself and many others have noticed a steady decline of Newton Aycliffe green spaces, be it uncut grassed areas (that Livin own)  or litter everywhere. When Durham County Council decided they would only cut grassed areas they own, they opted to cut HALF an open area, leaving the rest to Livin, and they didn’t bother to do any cutting at all in the Moule Close, Simpasture area. I have rung Livin five times asking them to cut the open spaces where I live and still nothing has been done … now the grass is over 10” tall – a lovely habitat for rodents to thrive.
