Daniel Wilkinson from Newton Aycliffe is a talented dancer and every week trains at Dance City in Newcastle on the CAT Programme in Ballet and Contemporary. Last year he went to meet Abby Lee Miller the ‘DanceMoms’ Star of Lifetime TV to do a dance class and was awarded a free Scholarship to go over to Los Angeles this year and train with the girls from the show and Abby herself. He was also asked to assist Kalani Hilliker off ‘DanceMoms’ on her UK Tour.
Daniel was a a Finalist at the UK Dance Elite Championships in London. and a dancer in ‘Aladdin’ at the Pantomime in December. He attended MOVE IT 2017 March 10th – 12th in London along with numerous Master Classes with Top Choreographers from the UK and USA!
Menina Fortunato is the founder of ‘The Hollywood Summer Tour’. which is by INVITATION ONLY.
It is dance career intensive, intended for advanced dancers who are serious about learning about the commercial dance industry in Hollywood. It is a programme that provides each dancer with all the tools needed to get started and be successful in this cut-throat dance industry. Daniel has been scouted and offered a Scholarship by Menina herself to go and train in Hollywood for 12 days.
He would feature in a Music Video; Take part in a Professional Photoshoot; Train with Professional Dancers; See sights in Hollywood; Meet celebrities; have Mock auditions; Create his own Reel Video Shoot and receive many more
amazing opportunities.
He needs help to raise the substantial amount of funds required to go. Daniel is holding a Dance Workshop to help raise funds for the trip to Hollywood for the ‘Hollywood Summer Tour’ There will be 2 workshops: Contemporary/Lyrical and Commercial For one Workshop it will be £6 but if you would like to do both, the charge is
£10. (Parents are allowed in for free to spectate). If you would like watch the workshop it will be £2.
It will be held at: Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre, on Saturday 13th May. The workshops are for ages 6+. and choreographed to everyone’s ability. Contemporary – 11:00am-12:00pm Commercial – 12:00pm-1:00pm There will be refreshments available to buy at the event.
