The 5th annual Handbag Auction event will be held at Hall Garth Hotel on Friday 26th February and this year will be raising valuable funds for The Great North Air Ambulance.
Handbags have been flying in from generous donors, – old, new, pre-loved and unwanted – all to be auctioned from just £1. The event last year raised just under £2000.
The event is part of a year-long fundraising campaign undertaken by Carrie Wilson and Liz Cook, who are soon to be undertaking their annual fundraising trek, this year across Vietnam and Cambodia.
Carrie who is Sales Manager at Hall Garth hotel said: “This will be the fifth trek that we will undertake for charity and we are always thinking or new and unusual ways to raise funds. These handbag auctions are hugely successful and a great kick off to our fundraising year.
