Greenfield Arts invites the public to the preview of our latest exhibition by Mike Connell on Wednesday 6th September 6pm to 8pm. The work on show depicts life in and around Newton Aycliffe. Mike describes his style as realistic but characterful and is based on his own observation and experience. Accompanying the exhibition is memorabilia and personal artefacts from Mike’s childhood growing up in Newton Aycliffe during the 50’s and 60’s, including items his parents received as some of the first families to move to the New Town.
This exhibition highlights the importance of art as a form of expression for people of all walks of life, offering a creative space where visitors can experience personal accounts of Newton Aycliffe’s local history. Mike will also be in attendance at the preview event to discuss and provide insight into his work with artworks for sale throughout the exhibition.
