“VICTORIA AND ABDUL”
The “Feel Good Film Show” at St Clare’s Church on Tuesday 26th June features the 2017 British drama “VICTORIA AND ABDUL” starring Judi Dench, Ali Fazal, Eddie Izzard, Michael Gambon and Tim Pigott-Smith.
Indian Muslim servant Abdul is sent to Queen Victoria’s court and catches her eye. He becomes her servant, aid, language teacher and ever-closer friend, much to the annoyance of her family, the court and staff. How close it is to reality is anyone’s guess, but it is great entertainment.
