I was born and bred in Aycliffe Village and an elected councillor for 30 years, always trying to do a good job for the people I represent. I will not be knocking on doors and making promises I cannot keep, but I will promise to always do my very best to solve problems you may have in the future. I think my record representing Aycliffe Village to date speaks for itself, having also been County Councillor for Aycliffe East in the past. I played a leading role in reviving Neville Parade Community Centre after it came close to bankruptcy, and it is now a first class venue for all the Neville community to enjoy. I would also like to reassure Neville Parade area residents, that if I am elected I will endeavour to do what you want, and not what the ruling party who think they know better might want. This year’s major achievement in my opinion was to keep Aycliffe Village separate from Newton Aycliffe in the neighbourhood plan.
