The Neighbourhood Policing Team are keen to address and improve the PACT meetings – the ‘Police and Community Together’ meetings where police/PCSOs meet with members of the public to discuss, learn about and act on their concerns.

The NPT have ideas of how the PACT meetings might be better arranged and advertised and would like to rejuvenate the meetings and locations to maximise attendance of the community, whilst reducing the time of officers and councillors.

PACT, whilst important, is only one route to reach out to the community and they aim to increase the community events they hold as well as more visible foot patrols. By ensuring that the PACT meetings are more focused, they hope to be more able to achieve these aims.

Consequently, they would like to invite you to attend a meeting with the team on Thursday February 1st 2018 at 6.00pm in the Ash Room at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre. This meeting, which is open to the residents of Newton Aycliffe, is solely to discuss the PACT meetings moving forward and hopefully agree on a plan that will be more effective than the current meetings.
