Dear Editor,

I was travelling near Bewick Crescent Car Park when I had to brake sharp due to a number of young children racing across the road to get to the Fairground.

Who on earth thought of putting the Fair on that car park so close to the roundabout – one of the busiest spots in the town centre.

Not only was it dangerous but it caused a lot of inconvenience to disabled and elderly people visiting the surgery.

It was wrong to put the Fair in that location when there are so many open spaces in Newton Aycliffe.
