Local Musician Jonathan Parking is returning to Newton Aycliffe to perform a Concert in St. Mary’s Church on Sunday 20th August at 6pm.  Jonathan a superb guitarist has performed all over the world after gaining a 1st class Honours Degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music followed by studying in Finland under famous composer Kai Nieminen. His next step is to take his Masters Degree in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

He won prizes in 2013 and 2015, also at the Sussex Guitar Festival, and is a recipient of the Montague Cleeve Guitar Prize. His performances have been described as deeply sensitive with a strong sense of rhythm, highly polished and engaging. Appearing in a BBC Concert recently Jonathan was acclaimed a “rising star”.
