Made in Britain are holding three half day marketing workshops in the North East, Midlands and North West, to share best practice in provenance marketing and help the members make the most of their Made in Britain membership. Roman along with other partners advised Members on how best to apply the Made in Britain marque, and showing how manufacturers can make effective use of social media marketing. The Department for International Trade and Lloyds Bank Manufacturing were presenting expert guidance on exports and sales and demonstrating their new marketing tools designed to help UK manufacturers. There was also a skype call with Gabriela CastroFontoura from Sky Solutions about doing business in Latin America.

These members-only workshops will provide a great opportunity for the Made in Britain community to network, share best practice and celebrate their British made products. Made in Britain members demonstrated their own products including the Eco Trailer from Cleveland in Teesside. Made in Britain supports and promotes British manufacturing, enabling buyers and consumers, at home and abroad to identify British made products. Made in Britain now have over 900 members and are growing and developing the Organisation.

The website is now increasingly used as an International directory for British sourced products. Dave Forster of Hartlepool based Propipe commented: “It has been a very insightful day at the Made in Britain workshop and it is great to meet likeminded manufacturers. The speakers were very good providing invaluable export guidance. I would highly recommend to all Made in Britain members wanting to make the most out of their membership and progress their marketing strategy.”
