Dear Sir,
May I take this opportunity through the columns of the Newton News to announce my retirement and shop closure as of Friday 21st September.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all of my customers, some of whom have supported me since I first started at Wenton Home Furnishers, 46 years ago. I have been in my current premises for almost thirty years and can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute, even the hard times, thanks to my loyal customers. I would not have survived and been successful for so long without you.
Thanks to you all.
It will be with a touch of sadness when I pull the shutters down for the last time at the end of the month but the time is right for me to go and I am looking forward to my retirement and finally taking things easy.
I would like say a final thank you to my wife Marjorie who has put up with me for all these years and without whose help I could not have kept going. I am now looking forward to having time for ourselves.
Once again, a massive thank you to all of my customers for your valued custom and support, I shall miss you all, but not too much.
