More than 4,000 people are due to descend on to the track after Christmas for the famous Boxing Day meeting at Sedgefield and the team have been busy preparing for this annual event, now the most popular within Sedgefield’s racing calendar.

With 66 horses now declared and a competitive card it is sure to attract many people from across the region. Amongst the declarations are Sue Smith, who has previously had a double win at Sedgefield and returns with Blottos in the last race going head to head with Sedgefield’s current leading trainer Brian Ellison.

The Lesters Jump Ride of the year winning Jockey, Colm McCormack rides Fiddlers Flight in the 2:10 Handicap Hurdle Race hoping to be victorious again following his memorable win here on Tuesday 9 February. Plus, Brian Hughes is aboard seven runners in the hopes of adding to his 81 wins for the 2016 – 2017 jockey championships.

The first of seven races will get started at 12.00pm and live racing from Kempton Park, including their big race of the day, the King George VI, will be aired on the big screen at 3.15pm.
