The Bishop Auckland ASDA store has pledged to donate a number of gifts to make sure that underprivileged children in the South Durham area have something under the tree on Christmas morning.
Linzi Nicolls, appeal co-ordinator, said: “We are grateful to Asda for backing our toy appeal and I’d like to give an extra special thank you also to the bighearted customers who are also donating – it’s fantastic that you are all supporting Helping Hands this year”.
If you know a family that is really struggling this year please do let us know by phoning our helpline on Mobile: 07936 431262 or e-mail lifeline.action@googlemail.com.
