My name is Olivia Tarn and on my 16th Birthday, I officially ticked one off the bucket list when I completed a sponsored skydive. On the 23rd May, me and my Uncle, who I forced and who kindly volunteered into completing this challenge with me, skydived out of a plane at Peterlee Skydiving Centre.
Skydiving at 10,000ft going 140mph proved exhilarating, adventurous and a once in a lifetime experience; the views were breathtaking and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. I would like to thank my parents for organising it and making my birthday memorable, Colin for skydiving with me and to all my wonderful friends and family who supported me on the day: your love will remain memorable.
I have managed to raise over £850 for my two chosen charities so far and I am extremely thankful to the generosity of everyone who has sponsored me.
However, I would love to continue raising as much money as possible to the charities that have become so close to my heart and to reach my personal target of £1000 would be incredible.
My two chosen charities are Young Minds who devote their time to supporting young people with mental health issues and Winston’s Wish who  gracefully support bereaved children. If you would like to sponsor me and donate to either of the charities, you can visit the Just Giving pages at:
